Of course we can’t compare CFL lamps with HPS/MH lamps but still CFL have some advantages that may be useful to a lot of growers.
First of all they emit much less heat than HPS/MH usually do. So there is no need of extra equipment for lowering the temps in a grow area at the same time we can place them closer to our plants canopy.
Second advantage is that they don’t need extra ballast like HPS/MH. This only means less money and of course less worries in electrical connection of our grow rooms.
Finally when they reach at the end of their lifecycle, we can still use them as lighting for our houses.
Please always recycle your cfl lamps and don’t just dumb them in the trash can. They release very harmful gases for the humans when they break.
